MWH 052: Luke Branquinho

Howdy!

This episode is with 5x PRCA Steer Wrestling World Champion, Luke Branquinho. Luke has been an absolute phenom in the rodeo arena amassing almost $3M in his pro rodeo career, 5 Gold Buckles (in 2004, 2008, 2011, 2012, and 2014), and 14 NFR Qualifications. As if his prowess inside the arena wasn't enough, he’s also a natural working the microphone in front of a camera. Coming off an injury and easing back into the rodeo game last year, he spent the 2018 NFR as a commentator for the PRCA and CBS Sports on the television broadcast of the Finals and worked the mic for the steer wrestling at The American as well.

First ballot hall of fame shoe in, no doubt. Until then, he’s still on the rodeo road and found the time to take a call from us while hauling from his home state of California to Texas for the winter rodeos. He and his wife, Lindsey, have 3 boys (10, 8, 3) and ranch in Los Alamos, CA. We talk about being a father, his super hero/entrepreneur wife, his recovery from injuries, plans for he upcoming rodeo season and so much more. He’s awesome. We think you’ll think so too. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks for listening!
